Wanted: Women to Test Chocolate

Its a well known fact that the ladies of the human species love to nibble on a piece of chocolate so I imagine that women would love to test chocolate so this would be the perfect job for many a woman out there in the world.

One hundred and fifty women are required by the University of East Anglia based in Norwich, United Kingdom. Unfortunately this is not a test about the release of endorphins but more about a test on whether chocolate can help the female species with type 2 diabetes and possible reduce the chances of women getting heart disease when in their senior years.

The science behind this test is due to Flavonoids, a plant compound found in the cocoa used to make chocolate as it is believed to help reduce heart disease. The University in question has recruited a top chocolatier from Belgium who is making chocolate that is three times higher in Flavonoids than the average chocolate bar.

The lucky 150 women who are taken on for this research will have to eat one chocolate bar a day for a year and need to have past their menopausal stage, have type 2 diabetes and be in the process of taking statins to reduce their cholesterol.
